Military Illustrator 81-E

What is a Military Illustrator? Simply put, Military Illustrators were trained to be proficient in many different disciplines including: Drafting, Cartography, Typography, Drawing, Photography, Motion Picture and TV production to name a few. All this training took place at a DoD School of Illustration in Denver, CO at Lowry Air Force Base. I was Honor Graduate and remained as a teacher for a period. While in the Army I received several Awards for my Illustration work.

experience since 1982
• Certified US ARMY Advanced Illustrator
• Certified USAF Senior Illustrator/Draftsman
• Certified US Navy Sr. Draftman
• First person certified as Advanced Illustrator by all Branches of Armed Forces
• Certified Varityper Typography School

Professional Achievements
• Art Director for magazine, web, presentation, and multimedia projects
• Designed and created 300 DVD jacket/label inserts for commercial printing
• Award winning web design awards
• Organized and implemented several award winning corporate / governmental publishing departments
